What is it About?

MSM was established in 1990and aims to produce graduates who work as academics, researchers, academic practitioners, and consultants who are competitive at the national level and adaptive at the international level. All of the information contained in the academic guidelines.


Graduates produced by the Master of Management Study Program are masters of management and practical knowledge. The focus on deepening supports the MSME sector with an emphasis on research-based knowledge, so it is different from similar study programs that focus on developing functional management.


What Will I Study?

In the first semester, students take courses in philosophy, methodology, concentration management courses, multivariate analysis and business research, strategic management and business analytics. This course is a compulsory subject that must be followed by all students and forms the basis for taking courses in the second semester. In the first semester, students have started choosing a topic for research.


In the second semester, students have taken concentration courses which all focus on specific subjects, for example concentrations on marketing, finance, human resource management, operations, integrated ecotourism, culture-based Islam. At the end of the second semester, students were determined to be a supervisor.

Currently MSM record rank #451 – 500 for Social Sciences and Management based on Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) by subject. It is accredited by ABEST21 Japan International Accreditation, and is currently undergoing FIBAA accreditation. In addition, the MSM program has become a member of the AAPBS (Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools).


Curriculum

The postgraduate programs in the Faculty of Economics and Business are expected to obtain a total number of ECTS up to 80 ECTS even though the formal minimum requirements is around 60 ECTS. Many programs are offered and are obliged for the students to attend in each postgraduate study programs in FEB to obtain additional ECTS such as:

  1. join workshops

  2. community services

  3. international seminars and conferences

  4. internships as well as exchange programs to overseas universities.

To achieve all the required competencies (PLO), the curriculum contains IMM basic subjects, applied courses, fieldwork, and a master's thesis equivalent to a total of 70.17 ECTS, for 3 semesters.
