Master of Geological Engineering

The Geological Engineering Masters Study Program of UNPAD was founded on 17 September 2009 under Decree No Establishment 1688/D/T/2009 and has won Superior Accreditation (Akreditasi UNGGUL) from the Institute Independent Accreditation Engineering Study Program (LAM TEKNIK).

What is it About?

Geological Engineering Masters Study Program has the vision to become an international standard geological engineering education institution that can respond to dynamics and benefit society. The mission provides education in the fields of exploration of energy resources, mineral resources, water resources, engineering geology (engineering geology and environmental geology), regional development, and disaster management with international standards and orientation to environmental conservation. Geological Engineering Masters Study Program organizes learning and research by establishing partnerships with domestic and foreign institutions. Geological Engineering Master Students are also encouraged to do community service based on geological engineering research oriented toward environmental conservation for sustainable development. The academic and non-academic activities are supported by quality resources and technology-based professional and accountable management.

What Will I Study?

The Learning Program in the Master of Geological Engineering Study Program is designed for an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) by implementing learning methods centered on the student. A minimum study load for Geological Engineering Masters Study Program is 36 Credits up to a maximum of 42 credits (for a geology background) and a minimum of 39 credits up to a maximum of 45 credits (for non-geology background).

Education Program in the Master's Study Program Geological Engineering consists of the following:

  1. Regular Program

  2. Cooperation Program

  3. Fast Track Program

  4. Double Degree Program

Engineering Masters Study Program Students Geologists can take the Fast Track Program to the doctoral education level according to the regulations in UNPAD. Double Degree Master Program in collaboration with Akita University, Japan. The students who follow this program will get two master's degree certificates from Unpad and Akita University.
