What is it About?

The Biology Masters Study Program is a study program that is able to realize competence in the management of biological and environmental resources; graduates have an independent, professional work ethic, have an entrepreneurial spirit, are disciplined, have character, respect local culture, and are knowledgeable about the latest technology so that they can compete at the national and international levels internationally.


What Will I Study?

Study materials in the Master Program in Chemistry are in line with research groups in the Department of Chemistry, i.e. Functional Material; Chemical Analysis and Separation; Natural Products and Organic Synthesis; and Biomolecular Health, Food and Protein Chemistry. By focusing on mastery of theory and its application and ability to develop science and technology through multi/interdisciplinary innovative research.


The lecture Semester Learning Plan documents are available at this link. In the first year, the courses given are courses that underlie advanced courses in the main field of study. In the second year, students prepare for research by taking the Research Proposal Seminar course followed by the Thesis course in the following semester. After completing the Research Proposal Seminar, students perform research and also convey their research results orally, in the form of presentations, and writing, in the form of a thesis.

Curriculum

Duration and study load for the implementation of the Masters of Chemistry Study Program is 4 (four) years or 8 (eight) semesters in maximum. The cumulative study load of Masters Education is at least 36 (thirty six) credits and the maximum study load per semester is 24 (two twenty four) credits. Cumulative study load for Master of Chemistry program is at least 38 credits, comprise of 15 credits of obligatory courses in the first semester, 15 credits of obligatory courses in main field of study in the second semester, Research proposal seminar in the third semester (2 credits) and finally Thesis in the fourth semester (6 credits).
