Master of Applied Economics (ABEST21 Accredited)

The Master of Applied Economics is a graduate degree that focuses on the practical application of economic principles and theories to real-world situations. The program typically covers a range of topics, including micro-macro economics, econometrics, and economic policy.

What is it About?

The Department of Economics and Development Studies established 2003 a study program related to applied economics for the master's level, which was named Master's Program in Applied Economics. MAEc aims to produce experts in applied economics with solid analytical arguments and can master the various main tools of economic analysis.


What Will I Study?

Produce experts in applied economics who can use various analytical tools and economic theory to solve problems, both at the micro and macro levels and make a significant contribution institutionally to the resolution of various problems that exist in local, national, corporate, and community institutions in general.

Master of Applied Economics has already received "A" accreditation from BAN-PT and ABEST21 Japan International Accreditation, and is currently undergoing FIBAA accreditation.In addition, the MAEc program has become a member of the AAPBS (Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools).


Curriculum

Lectures in the MET Program UNPAD are held with a tri-semester system. That is, 1 (one) year of the Academic Calendar is divided into 2 (two) academic cycles (semesters). The curriculum consists of three groups, namely pre-post lectures (matriculation, 0 credits), semester lectures (33 SKS), research seminars and theses (8 credits). So, the overall course load that must be taken by students is 41 credits (matriculation is not included in the transcript). Matriculation lectures consist of 4 basic courses at the undergraduate level of economics, while semester lectures consist of 21 credits of compulsory courses, 12 credits of Specialization courses, 8 credits for Research and Thesis seminars.
