3. Master Recognition of Past Learning

Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) acknowledges an individual's learning outcomes (LO) acquired through formal education, non-formal education, informal learning, and work experience. This recognition serves as a basis for continuing formal education and aligning prior learning with specific qualifications.

For individuals who have completed a Bachelor's degree (S1) and gained work experience, their learning outcomes from professional practice can be assessed and recognized as equivalent to formal coursework at universities or colleges. This process allows for the acquisition of academic credits based on prior experience and non-formal learning.

Similarly, individuals who have pursued but not completed a Master's degree at another university may transfer their formal learning outcomes for assessment and credit transfer at Universitas Padjadjaran. This process ensures that relevant courses completed previously are recognized, reducing the need to retake equivalent subjects. Additionally, non-formal and informal learning experiences can be evaluated and equated with courses in the intended study program. The remaining coursework required for degree completion will be determined based on this assessment.

The implementation of RPL at Universitas Padjadjaran demonstrates the government's commitment to expanding access to education and fostering lifelong learning opportunities across institutions.
